The movie portrays the true story of Wladyslow Szpilman, the most accomplished piano player in Poland in the 1930s. As a Polish Jew, he witnessed the starting of Holocaust, struggled to survive the destruction of Warsaw ghetto of World War II and .

It’s an intense movie but the director intends to use the biography of Szpilman at this historical period to portray hopes behind the darkness.
